Hello everyone! Today, the editor will introduce some precautions in the application of Roots vacuum pump. Roots vacuum pump refers to a mechanical vacuum pump with a pair of sole-shaped rotors rotating synchronously at high speed. This type of pump cannot independently pump air, and its front stage needs to be equipped with oil seals and water rings to directly discharge air. It is also widely used in industry. In order to improve the maximum vacuum degree of the pump, Roots pumps can be used in series. The working principle and performance characteristics are basically the same as those of a Roots blower, with the main difference being that its rotor is a Roots type. The Roots vacuum pump is mainly composed of two rotors that rotate in the opposite direction inside the pump body, driven by a pair of synchronous gears. The rotor of the Roots vacuum pump meshes within the pump body, but there is a gap. The size of the gap mainly depends on the viscosity of the liquid. It needs to be adjusted beyond a certain viscosity range to increase the gap.
1. Regularly check the oil level position. If it does not meet the requirements, adjustments need to be made to meet the operating requirements of the Roots vacuum pump. The oil level standard shall prevail.
2. The oil change cycle of Roots vacuum pump is determined based on actual usage and can meet the performance requirements of users. Generally speaking, new Roots pumps should be pumped clean. It is recommended to change the oil for about 100 hours. There is no visible black metal powder in the oil, and the deadline may be extended after that.
3. Regularly check the quality of the engine oil, promptly detect any oil deterioration, replace with new oil, and ensure that the Roots vacuum pump is working properly.
4. In general, after 2000 hours of operation, a Roots vacuum pump should be inspected to check the aging degree of the rubber seal, check for cracks in the exhaust valve, clean the dirt on the valve plate and exhaust valve seat, and clean the components of the entire Roots pump chamber, such as the rotor, rotor, spring, etc. Generally, clean and dry with gasoline. Wipe the rubber with a dry cloth to dry it. When cleaning and assembling, handle with care and be careful of scratches.
5. Lubricating oil to the bearing body of Roots bearings, observe that the oil level should be at the middle line of the oil, and replace or add lubricating oil in a timely manner.
6. Check if the pipes and joints of the Roots vacuum pump are loose, manually rotate the Roots vacuum pump, and observe if it is flexible.
7. After trial operation, it should be reassembled and the oil should be changed twice after 2 hours. Due to the presence of a certain amount of volatile matter during cleaning of the Roots vacuum pump, it can only operate normally and then enter normal operation.
8. Start the motor. When the Roots vacuum pump is running normally, open the outlet pressure gauge and input the Roots vacuum pump. If the corresponding pressure is displayed, gradually open the gate valve and check the motor load.
9. Try to control the flow rate and head of the Roots vacuum pump within the range indicated on the label, ensuring that the Roots vacuum pump is running and achieving significant energy-saving effects.
